Hello!  I’m Mallori, a dietetic intern with a bachelors degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  My journey so far has been  filled with so many exciting twists and turns and I'm excited for the adventures ahead of me.  My background includes time as a dialysis technician where I learned about the epidemic of people suffering from diseases that are preventable through diet.  During my time as an assistant to Harvard trained nutritionist, Terry Shintani, MD, MPH, who believed in complimentary and alternative therapies and that all things were possible, I learned that food truly can be as effective as medicine.  I’ve travelled to such wonderful places such as France, South Africa, India, and Iran, and learned that the sky is blue wherever we go and that love and gratitude are more powerful than science may ever be able to prove.  I also teach yoga and hold great value in the power we possess within our very own being.  I’m an old soul with modern day problems like anyone else, but I believe I’m here for a reason and I’ll live every day in honor of that purpose.  With permission, I’d like to help others do the same.

In my section of the blog you'll find topics about intuitive eating and the importance of communicating with our bodies for inspiration and guidance to help facilitate positive changes for a more fulfilling life.  Through self-acceptance and gratitude we aim to find a new motivation to live the life we were meant to live and feel great doing it!
